Talking to customers is hard, especially if you have bad social skills. The hardest part of the job is, well, the job. There is so much room for growth here, in the 1 Year, 4 Months, and 25 Days I have worked here, I have never once thought about looking for another place to work. I truly feel appreciated here and I constantly receive positive feedback and coaching that has helped me improve and move up the ranks quickly. Over the past year, there has been a very positive change in management.

I have learned more facts about blinds and shade that I care for, but I have also learned many useful life skills like, communication/negotiation, computer/office skills, how to play ping pong, and how to teach others. But beyond that, there is a sense of community where everyone wants to help each other. Being mainly a call center, there is a lot of talking on the phone with all kinds of people from different walks of life.

Supportive and Caring management, Catered lunches all the time, and flexible hours A typical day at SelectBlinds. There is a lot of great employees here and it seems to be very family orientated to a degree because we spend more time together with each other than we our families. I do enjoy having great conversations with customers who do want to get things fixed correctly with a sensible minds. I enjoy working at Selectblinds and it’s hard to see myself working anywhere else at this time. You have to have a willingness to learn and a willingness to adapt and change when things need to be changed. You do have to be a quick learner and you have to work in a fast-paced environment and sometimes that can be stressful and challenging on itself. And you do have managers that are very accommodating and have sympathy empathy and respect. But overall there is great benefits working here. Customers do make it challenging sometimes. All of us try to strive for excellence to provide amazing customer service to our customers. So over the last year and a half I have seen management try to change and become more efficient and also more accommodating to their employees. I’ll have to say it was a very hard adjustment in the middle of all that with a different manager and it became very challenging at times. I’ve seen a lot of different management styles since I’ve started. Challenging but yet rewarding I have been at Select Blinds for almost 3 years.
